Photography

Helooo!! Ciao! Dober dan!

Before I start writing about this interesting month, here is a song that I can't keep out of my head. I recommend you to play it while reading this post.
 Enjoy!

So, what we did this month's wasn't a normal photograph, It was fashion photography.
That means that we used different types od lights, reflections, models, stylings, locations....  We worked with two photographers, with the first one we worked in his studio, and the other one took us out to shoot with natural light and props.
At the end we also learned basics about photoshop that we might use at our job.

Fashion part

So the last post was about my winter, this one is going to be more about the school, about FASHION.

The first real and really interesting thing we had to do was styling of our own.
We actually did everything a stylist has to do in his job. We went to pick up the clothes into Press offices,we signed the sheet papers, we did the moodboarding, the styling, fixing and ironing, working with the model.

We worked with brands such as: H&M, Zara, JO NO FUI, au jour le jour, Dondup,.....
Even though we were tired shooting  the whole day  I had a blast. The inspiration was the 90`s Grunge

So, here is my first real styling job:

Im alive. There has been alot of things going on since my last post. In school and also out of school. I have to have some social life too, you know...
Sooo, again, I will let you check the photos and let them tell you whats been going on.

OK, maybe I will add some description since I know some of you dont really like imagining the scene  just by the photos.

I got a nice visit from my friend Tamara at the end of November.
Here is one from Peschiera del Garda, a city near Gardaland.

Of course we also wanted to go to Gardaland, but as we could say, we`re not good with the dates ;)
It was closed.

Lady Dior

I am not a big fan of Dior, but still they have made some revolutionary moments in fashion. And that is worth talking about. The most famous thing about Dior is the year od 1947 when Christian Dior invented the New look. That is one of the most famous moments in fashion,It was after the war and the femininity was reborn. I liked that he made women feel beautiful again. He invented the floral women-the silhouette. As the time passed by Dior has changed a lot of designers, but always remained something special and unique in their creations.

There is a exhibition based on Dior`s famous bag in Milan. It became famous when it was seen on princess Diana in multiple situations. She actually ordered It in all kinds of styles.

After seeing the whole exhibition I fell a bit in love with that bag even thought I normally dont like those kind of bags. It is made in sooo many shapes and sizes and COLORS that anybody can find something good in it. And also the whole exhibition is perfectly representing the bag, Its history & modernity.

They also gave the chance to international photographers and artists to provide their own take on the bag. The show contained some fifty pieces of photos, sculptures....
And there was also a part where you can see all the fashion movies representing the bag. Most of them starring the beautiful French actress Marion Cotillard.

 See for yourself ;)

Mood boarding

We´ve been doing a lot of mood boards lately. Mood board is a collage of different things, text, photos, basically everything that you want. Last week we went out on the streets to do some street style photography. Due to the fact that I left my camera at home(I just dont feel connected with it anymore) I was in pair with Francesca. We spotted some well-dressed people and took a photo of the ones we thought were something special.

After that we had to choose one of photos and do a moodboard about the person on it. I Chose this one:

Credits for the photos: Francesca Lacchini
...And I did a mood board for her.(Its not actually hers, Its what I imagined from her style.)

Her name is Sara. She lives in Milan. Her Mom is from Croatia. She has a boyfriedn named Franco. She works in a small vintage store in the centre but she has a lot of free time, so she can run her fashion blog. Her favorite city is London. She relly likes drinking tea and eat spinach. She studied philosophy in a little town called Leiden. Thats not all, but you can se a lot by looking at her moodboard.

And I also did my personal mood board. Its really full and colorful and I like It.

From Crinolinas to Cirque

One of the facts why I dont write that much is: I dont know what to write...and the other one is that I am not a native speaker and I make a lot of mistakes in my English. But If I write in Slovenian its even harder for me, so.....I guess I can try, and write some more, but not much. Hahah
And this is also for my dear mom, so she can learn and be better at english. Kisses to her!

So basically this homework was about....nothing special. But it is my creative side of the brain that kept the search engine runing until I found some interesting details.
We had our fashion history class this week. I already learned a lot of things about that in high school, but still I found some new facts. Crinolinas were first used in 1830, and became wider with the years. (Guite similar to some people). You may not see any of these on the streets anymore, but you can see them on the runways. These year they were used as an inspiration by the Alexander McQueen.

And we also have a Slovenian designer who created a collection of modern crinolinas a few years back. As I saw that collection wth my school, I rememberd Alen Hranitelj instantly, because his collection was really brilliant and I still remember some pieces of his work.

As I searched deeper I found out that Alan worked with Cirque du Soleil, he did some costumography work for the show called Zarkana. Ive heard of Cirque du Soleil before, but now I finally saw how much of work is put into a show like that. (It is happening in Milano next Months, and the ticket is around 50€ and they are performing all over the world for the whole year, so it has to be something special.) You can see some kind of documentory about getting into Cirque du Soleil here, it IS a really hard job to get in ;)
